These Terms and Conditions outline the terms under which Biswas Imports operates its services and offerings. By engaging with our services or purchasing a vehicle from Biswas Imports, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully.
- General Terms These terms apply to all customers and visitors to Biswas Imports. By accessing or using the services, you agree to be bound by these terms, including any updates or modifications. Updates and Modifications Biswas Imports reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes on the website or via email. Continued use of our services after any changes to the terms implies your acceptance.
- Pre-Order Terms & Conditions Security Deposit: To participate in the Japanese auction process, a security deposit is required based on the price of the vehicle: 1 Lakh Taka for cars up to 25 Lakhs 2 Lakhs Taka for cars up to 50 Lakhs 5 Lakhs Taka for cars up to 1 crore 10 Lakhs Taka for cars above one crore You are not allowed to start the bidding process without paying this deposit. If you cannot secure the vehicle, the deposit will be refunded minus a service charge of 20,000 Taka. Letter of Credit (LC) Bangladesh Bank requires a 100% LC margin before shipping the vehicle. Upon payment of the LC amount, a service charge of 2 Lac Taka will apply for import formalities and delivery. Biswas Imports will offer an all-inclusive fixed price if only the booking money is paid. Payment Failure If the full payment is not made within 7 days of the auction win, the vehicle will be re-auctioned, and the initial deposit will be forfeited. Currency Fluctuations Due to fluctuating exchange rates, customers are advised to confirm the yen-to-dollar and dollar-to-taka conversion rates before each auction, as these rates affect the cost of the vehicle.
- Payment Terms and Conditions Full Payment: The customer must clear the payment within 15 days of the booking confirmation. If the payment is not completed within this period, the booking will be cancelled, and any deposit will be forfeited. Car Loan Issues: Customers must arrange for a purchase order from the bank within 20 working days. Failure to do so will result in the booking cancellation, and the advances will not be refunded as per company policy. Pre-Order Payments: 5 Lakhs Taka must be paid in advance along with booking confirmation for pre-orders. An additional 9 Lakhs Taka should be paid during LC lodgment. The remaining 10 Lakhs Taka must be paid after delivery.
- Customs, Delivery & Additional Charges Customs Duty: Once the vehicle reaches Bangladesh, the customer must pay the customs duty at the actual rates. If customs taxes increase, the customer will be responsible for the additional charges. Any tax reductions will be refunded. Wharf Rent: If the payment is delayed, a wharf rent of 1,500 Taka per day will apply until the payment is settled. Final Payment: 100% payment is required before the vehicle's registration. Vehicle Delivery & Servicing After delivery, each car will undergo an engine oil change and air filter replacement. The customer will be responsible for replacement costs if the tire condition is poor. Alloy rims will remain as is unless the customer wishes to replace them at their own expense.
- Registration & Delivery Time Registration Vehicle registration with the BRTA typically takes 2-5 working days after full payment and customs clearance. Shipment Time Shipping from the auction to Bangladesh generally takes 90 days. Biswas Imports is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping lines.
- Cancellation & Refund Policy Showroom Cancellations Within 3 days of confirmation, a 50,000 Taka cancellation fee will apply. The customer will receive a full refund minus the penalty or can exchange the order for another vehicle. For vehicles at Chittagong or Mongla ports: A 1 Lac Taka cancellation fee applies if the order is cancelled within 7 days. Japan Stock Cancellations For Japan stock, if the order is cancelled after the vehicle reaches the port or during shipment, a cancellation fee of 1 Lac Taka will apply. Late Payment Cancellation If full payment is not made within 30 days of the booking date or the arrival date in the showroom, the car will be cancelled automatically with a penalty of 1 Lac Taka or 5% of the total car price (whichever is higher). Loan Issues If a car loan is not approved or the customer fails to pay the loan portion within 5 days of the purchase order date, the car will be cancelled automatically with the applicable cancellation fee.
- Pre-Purchase Inspection Customers may inspect the vehicle at a renowned service centre or workshop for ready-stock cars. If significant issues are found with the engine, gearbox, or hybrid system, the customer may cancel the order and receive a full refund. Other issues will be addressed before delivery.
- Auction Sheet Verification Cancellation Biswas Imports provides auction sheet reports to help customers verify the authenticity of imported vehicles. Please read the terms below: System Failure Refund: If a customer pays for the auction sheet but does not receive the report automatically from our system, a full refund will be issued. Manual Search Policy:
Customers must submit the correct chassis number, valid contact information, and complete advance payment.
Our team will deliver the report within 72 hours.
If the auction sheet cannot be located manually, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded via online payment.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHASSIS NUMBER CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASE. If the chassis number is incorrect or does not match the actual vehicle, no refund will be issued after purchased.
Final Resolution: If both automatic and manual searches fail, Biswas Imports will issue a full refund within 7 working days.
Faults and Refunds: Faults by Biswas Imports: If Biswas Imports is at fault before the vehicle delivery, the customer will receive a full refund.
Customer's Personal Problems: If the customer fails to purchase the car due to personal reasons, a charge of 10% of the car's total value will be deducted from the refund.
Advance Payment Less Than 50,000 Taka: If the customer's advance payment is less than 50,000 Taka, and the vehicle has no fault or damage from Biswas Imports, the customer will not receive any refund for the advance payment.
